Editorial Opinion - Why Immigration Reform Is A Must For The Dying GOP

The House today voted to deport children of undocumented workers here illegally in the United States or more commonly known as DREAMERs.

To the stunned disbelief of other house members the GOP actually passed the amendment.
This tweet came screaming across my screen earlier today and I had to stop and think to myself... why? WHY? Why is the GOP doing this to themselves?

From The Huffington Post
The House voted 224-201 on Thursday to end Department of Homeland Security discretion policies that allow it to delay deportations for young, undocumented immigrants and other people deemed low-priority, effectively demanding the government force out Dreamers who came to the United States as children.
Of course this is terrible optics for a party that is suppose to be re-evaluating its position on immigration and Latino issues. Even worse for the GOP brand is Steve King's twitter account.
Because from the stand point of the House GOP all immigrants are welfare moochers? Seriously GOP, not helping your cause to keep allowing people like Steve King have a national microphone on immigration policy issues.
